Admission Policy For Online Diploma Programs


The InovaTech Admissions staff keeps our current and prospective students updated on all changes to our programs through periodic newsletters. For general information, or to be directed to specific offices, students may call 910.222.1012. Our offices are open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Admission of students in the InovaTech College of Business & Technology Distance Learning Diploma Programs is governed by the present Admission and Registration Policies and Procedures.


InovaTech College of Business & Technology welcomes undergraduate applications from all candidates who would benefit from learning in a technology-led Distance Learning environment. InovaTech College of Business & Technology is committed to a fair and transparent admissions system, and candidates will be treated equal on the basis of qualifications, experience, and abilities in relation to the chosen program of study. No student will be subjected to less favorable treatment on grounds of race, ethnic or national origins, color, gender, sexuality, parental status, marital status, disability, creed, political belief or social or economic background.

The admissions criteria and selection processes for all programs are established at the admissions level within InovaTech College of Business & Technology and take into account state guidelines, appropriate statutory bodies, and relevant legislation.


Admission in the Distance Learning programs at InovaTech College of Business & Technology is subject to the requirement that the student will comply with the InovaTech College of Business & Technology registration procedures as stated in the school Catalog and will duly observe the laws of the College. Before being admitted to a program of study at InovaTech, applicants must satisfy the particular requirements to which entry is sought, and disclose all relevant facts and information having a bearing on their application for admission. All students, without exceptions, must be 25 years of age or older to apply for the online diploma programs at InovaTech College of Business & Technology. Every student shall receive an enrollment package upon applying. All forms in the enrollment package must be filled out by the student and arrangements must be made by the student for all official transcripts to be mailed to InovaTech by all attended institutions. InovaTech College of Business & Technology will observe the procedures and deadlines for the handling of applications, and admissions as set out by the Admissions Policy Handbook.

Application Requirements
Candidates must be at least 25 years of age before the diploma program begins and they must be able to provide evidence of a high-school education. Evidence of a high-school education can be in the form of official transcripts or a copy of the high school diploma or GED certificate.

InovaTech College of Business & Technology regularly reviews its admissions practices to ensure that they reflect the operations of the Admissions and Registrar’s Office.

Computer Requirements

Review these requirements carefully; computer hardware, software, and an Internet connection are the primary means of participating in online courses and thus are significant contributors to academic success. These requirements are subject to change. The most current requirements are published here.

Internet Connection

InovaTech’s technical support staff strongly recommends a broadband (cable modem or DSL) Internet connection. While not required, subscribing to a broadband connection may be the most important investment learners can make to improve their online learning experience.

+ InovaTech recommends that new learners use or purchase a computer with the recommended standards listed above at the beginning of their program and review these technical standards on a regular basis.

Registration Requirements
No person shall be registered as a student of InovaTech College of Business & Technology until:
a) Full tuition for the immediately upcoming semester has been paid prior to the registration deadline.
b) The enrollment package has been filled out and all official transcripts have been received by the registration deadline.

InovaTech College of Business & Technology reserves the right to terminate the registration of a student who is subsequently discovered to have omitted or falsified relevant facts or information in connection with his or her application.

1. Each prospective student must discuss with the Director of Education or the Registrar to establish his/her educational goals. For distance learning candidates, the Director of Education can be reached by phone at (910) 222-1012 or by email at

2. Based on the result of the initial interview, the Director of Education will collect the candidate phone number and email address.

3. The Enrollment package will be emailed to the student by the Director of Education. The package contains the application form, the transcript request form, and the enrollment agreement for the entire program. Once the package is filled out, the student must scan it and email it to the Director of Education at or fax it at (910) 487-1651. A copy of a government-issued ID showing the student’s name and date of birth must be submitted with the package.

4. The transcript request form must be filled out for all high schools and colleges, if any, ever attended by the student. Copies of the forms will be made if necessary. No student will be accepted into any of the InovaTech programs without completing high school. The Transcript Request Form will be mailed out by the candidate or by our Director of Education to all previously attended schools. If a transcript from one of the schools previously attended is not received by the school by the beginning of the second class, the student must attempt to request it again and InovaTech must receive the transcript by end of the current session. If the student is unable to do so, the student will be charged a $10 mailing fee and the registrar will attempt to request the transcript again.

5. The enrollment agreement is a binding contract between the student and InovaTech. After both parties sign the agreement, the student will receive a copy of the agreement.

6. It is the policy of InovaTech that each student must pay the tuition for the immediately upcoming semester at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the semester. For payment policies, please read the paragraph called “Tuition Payments”. The tuition does not include the fee for the certification exams associated with some of the courses in the diploma program in Information Systems Administration.

7. There is no admission fee in any of the InovaTech programs.

8. Once the enrollment package is filled out and all official transcripts are received by the Registrar, an admission/denial decision will be mailed out by the Director of Education or the Registrar. The signature of only one of them is needed on the Enrollment Agreement to establish acceptance/denial. An admission/denial letter will be mailed to the student within 5 business days from the date the decision is reached.

8. If the candidate is denied the enrollment into the InovaTech program desired, the applicant can reapply at any time following the admission steps listed above.

9. If the candidate is accepted, she/he must pay the tuition for the current semester at least 7 days prior to the beginning date of the semester.

10. Once the tuition payment is received, an ID and password to access the online classroom will be emailed to the student, together with the book information.
